• Participated in several construction projects including building homes for locals in rural Nicaragua, various home repairs to improve living conditions (floors, roofs, etc.), and latrines at the local community center.  Participation was in the form of funding and labor.

  • Purchased and distributed water filters to hundreds of families so they could have access to clean drinking water.

  • Secured, repaired, and donated computers to support a local learning center, to local leaders and to schools for English classes.

  • Currently sponsoring a student to attend University so she can further her education and become self sufficient.

  • Donated money for the purchase of sewing machines for vocational classes.

  • Donated medical supplies to private and government clinics to assist locals with their healthcare needs.

  • Funded the community "pig project" via a micro-loan initiated by a local leader.

  • Partnered with locals to fund equipment purchases that would help them with their community outreach and/or business ventures.  This includes a boat and motor for a local fisherman, a motorcycle for a missionary and a vehicle for an FCA representative from Nicaragua.

  • Secured funding for a local leader who has big plans for his future by starting a farm (purchased fencing materials, cows, and an ox cart).

  • Secured, transported, and distributed shoes to local communities via a partnership with Soles for Souls.

  • Provide ongoing support to help employ a librarian at the local library that serves the kids in the community.

  • Ongoing support of missionaries in Nicaragua who work with the youth, provide local outreach, as well as housing for groups from the states visiting on short term mission trips.

  • Donated to other organizations working in rural Nicaragua.

  • Ongoing support a local surf club so they can serve the community where they live, provide fellowship for the youth and also be involved in surf contests throughout the area.

  • Assisted with the implementation of an aquaponics system in the form of funding and man power.  Also purchased and transported an eco-friendly "tower garden" as a test to measure functionality in the arid Nicaraguan environment.

  • Provide ongoing distribution of basic necessities to families (rice, beans, oil, etc...) as needs arise.  This includes a humanitarian aid mission in the Fall of 2017 after a tropical storm flooded the Tola Region.

  • Funded and lead arts and crafts workshops while visiting as a family.

  • Provided supplies to local schools.

  • Sponsored an annual celebration to honor the elderly in the community.

  • Coordinated and participated in soccer games with the kids in the community as well as donated uniforms.
